As of now, I am currently certified by Maddog Atheletics for spin and TRX certified. I have a few 5ks, one 10k, and five half marathons under my belt. In addition, I trained for my first marathon in 2014 with the Women's Nike Marathon Team in Chicago. I will keep you updated on my fitness journeys, and I hope you will share yours!
When I first became active, the group fitness instructors at my gym were a huge part of my motivation to become healthy and fit. I wanted to do the same thing for others, which is why I became a spin instructor. I also have a huge passion about nutrition, and one of my hobbies is to learn about it through books and my college courses. I am in no way a nutrition expert, but I will share some tips and tricks I have learned with you from my readings and personal experiences!
As an active college student, it is hard to stay healthy. I want to help inspire people of all ages to maintain a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying the best things in life (like dessert!). Here, I will post my recipes, recipes I find, and some other tips. I think that we can have our cake AND eat it too. That is why I enjoy the challenge of modifying foods to make them healthier.
Join me on my journey to motivate others, and please share your fitness journeys with me as well! Nothing motivates me more than seeing the positivity and joy others find in becoming active.
Some other things you will find in this blog: book reviews, playlists (as a spin instructor music is extremely essential to keeping the energy alive in my class), outfit ideas, and much more!
